We attended an amazing birthday party over the weekend. It was held at Books and Cookies in Santa Monica, and the kids got to play games, read stories, decorate their own magic wands, and decorate cookies. Air
About three weeks ago Tess learned a new trick: she can jump off of the ground. Before she would just bend her knees and then straighten them really fast, without ever leaving terra firma. But now she can get about an inch of height. It’s very impressive. And so she jumps all the time, quite pleased with herself.

Giddy Up!
On Sunday we attend the Portuguese Bend National Horse Show, where Gabe competed in the Stick Horse Class. The Stick Horse Class is really a sight to see: it involves dozens of 3- to 7-year-olds galloping around a beautiful, professional-caliber jumping course on toy stick horses. Two Years Ago Today
Last night at bedtime Gabe asked me to lay down with him in bed for a minute to “help me get sleepy, Mommy.” Of course I obliged. Last night Tess’ Halloween costume arrived in the mail. I sort of hate to spoil the surprise, but she’s going to be Tinkerbell. I hope.
